On The Town!

We saw the most wonderful musical last week – ON THE TOWN.  It was one of the greatest evenings we’ve had in the theatre

It was filled with amazing music from Leonard Bernstein, as well as lyrics by Betty Comden & Adolph Green. It was first produced on Broadway in 1944, during World War II.

Our dear friend, Jules Munshin, played one of the 3 sailors spending a day’s leave visiting New York.

The wonderful thing about this new revival production is that every aspect is superb – the cast, the staging, the dancing, the scenery. An incredible red set illustrates the final gloriously romantic dance.

It is the combination of all the great aspects of the production that make it so spectacular. It’s currently in previews and opens October 16, 2014 at the Lyric Theatre (213 W. 42nd Street)—we urge you: DON’T MISS IT!
